You should know that repentance doesn't equal to blow off steam, and modesty is not an excuse for mediocrity. In other words, modesty is to find your shortcomings, and repentance is to let you observe yourself in a corner where no one pays attention, complete yourself in a corner where no one cares, and overcome yourself in a moment when no one finds it.
